Crew performance variability in human error probability quantification: A methodology based on behavioral patterns from simulator data

چکیده
Current Human Reliability Analysis models express error probabilities as a function of task types and operational context, without explicitly modelling the influence different crew behavioral characteristics on probability. The such variability is treated only implicitly, by uncertainty distributions with bounds primarily obtained expert judgment. This paper presents methodology to empirically incorporate performance in probability quantification, from simulator data. Crew behaviors are represented set “behavioral patterns” that emerge observation operating crews (e.g. information sharing or adhering procedural guidance). demonstrates use Bayesian hierarchical model capture emerging applied case study literature. Bayesian estimator of human error probability based on human performance data
A Bayesian method for estimating human error probability (HEP) is presented. The main idea of the method is incorporating human performance data into the HEP estimation process. By integrating human performance data and prior information about human performance together, a more accurate and specific HEP estimation can be achieved. For the time-unrelated task without rigorous time restriction, t...

Distributed Data-Mining by Probability-Based Patterns
In this paper a new method is suggested for distributed data-mining by the probability patterns. These patterns use decision trees and decision graphs. The patterns are cared to be valid, novel, useful, and understandable. Considering a set of functions, the system reaches to a good pattern or better objectives. By using the suggested method we will be able to extract the useful information fro...
متن کاملQuantification of variability in trichome patterns
While pattern formation is studied in various areas of biology, little is known about the noise leading to variations between individual realizations of the pattern. One prominent example for de novo pattern formation in plants is the patterning of trichomes on Arabidopsis leaves, which involves genetic regulation and cell-to-cell communication. These processes are potentially variable due to, ...
متن کاملCrew Climate and Performance: Use of Group Diagrams Based on Behavioral Ratings
A method of depicting crew climate using a group diagram based on behavioral ratings is described. Behavioral ratings were made of twelve three-person professional airline cockpit crews in full-mission simulations. These crews had been part of an earlier study in which captains had been had been grouped into three personality types, based on pencil and paper pre-tests. We found that low error r...
